Dell’s Profits Jump 46%

Dell reported higher than expected second quarter earnings today. Dell said it earned $733 million, or 32 cents per share, for the second quarter. These results were 46% higher than the same period in 2006 during which time Dell earned $502 million, or 22 cents per share. Sales rose 4 percent to $14.8 billion.
