Countrywide Cuts Jobs
Struggling Countrywide annouced today that is was cutting 12,000 more jobs as it deals with the pressures of a difficult mortgage industry. This cut is about 20 percent of the total Countrywide workforce as the company estimates that new mortgages will fall as much as 25 percent in the coming year.
