Sprint Nextel’s CEO Gary Forsee stepped down today amidst rising pressure from the board to perform.   Forsee had felt the pressure to perform for quite some time and today the board expressed its disappointment in the financial results of the company as Sprint lowered its forecast for the current quarter.  “It is the right time to put in place new leadership to move the company forward in improving its performance and realizing corporate objectives,” the board’s Irvine Hockaday said in a company statement.
