Microsoft fired its Chief Information Officer Stuart Scott for “violation of company policies” without providing any details.

“We can confirm that Stuart Scott’s employment with Microsoft was terminated after an investigation for violation of company policies,” the company said in a statement. Microsoft spokesman Lou Gellos declined to elaborate.
