The maker of the popular BlackBerry, Research In Motion (RIMM), reports earnings Thursday after the bell. That leaves you tomorrow’s trading day to make your move…the question is, how should you play it?

The following is a synopsis of Jim Goldman’s thoughts:

Most analysts are expecting to hear pretty good news from RIMM. Look for a beat and raise quarter he says. If RIMM does beat, you could see a significant move to the upside adds Goldman. The big things to watch are new subscriptions and handset sales. He also points out there is some chatter about RIMM restating earnings, however, if they did it would be a bit of a surprise, says Goldman. And, of course, the wildcard out there is Apple and the iPhone.
