EMC posted a 35% gain in fourth-quarter net income, driven by growth in all key segments of its data-storage business. The company also issued a rosy sales forecast for 2008. Despite the awesome results of EMC, the stock fell sharply in the premarket due to its subsidiary interest in VMware which fell short of Wall Street’s forecast for revenue.

Look for the market to overact to the VMware….with the nice 2008 forecast, could be time to back up the truck!
